On December 27, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Lexington, Kentucky, resulting in the death of 34-year-old Devon Dockery Jr. The incident took place in the area of East 5th Street and Pemberton Street, where Lexington police officers were called to the scene just before 5 p.m..

Upon arrival, officers found Devon Dockery Jr. inside a vehicle suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.
