Upon their arrival at the scene, they discovered Pearson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds amidst a scene of chaos as numerous people fled the area.

local hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead. Born in Lexington on January 14, 1985, Tyjuan was a father who found joy in the simple moments with his children, such as taking his son to football practice or enjoying ice cream dates with his daughters and nieces. According to his obituary, he was known for a smile that could brighten anyone's day and for his willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was employed by Hydro System Staffing.
As of early 2024, the investigation into Tyjuan Pearson's death remained open, with the suspect or suspects still at large. The Lexington Police Department has publicly requested assistance from the community, urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area on the morning of the shooting to come forward with information.
