On June 18, 2024, Jayson Manookian, a 21-year-old from Louisville, Kentucky, was fatally shot at the Greenwood Boat Ramp, located just west of the Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. when officers from the Louisville Metro Police Department's First Division responded to a shooting at the boat ramp.
