Do you know who murdered Alphonse Mesinor? In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Louisville, Kentucky, a call to the police reported a grim discovery. On March 28, 2015, in the Park Hill neighborhood, a man was found inside a car, the victim of a fatal shooting. The man was identified as 52-year-old Alphonse Mesinor. He was discovered in his vehicle, which was parked behind his home on South Twelfth Street.
Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the call that came in around 1 a.m.
Upon their arrival, they found Mesinor slumped over in his car, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Investigators cordoned off the area near South 12th Street and West Magnolia Avenue, searching for evidence with flashlights in and around nearby cars and homes. Despite their efforts, Alphonse Mesinor was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:22 a.m.
In the aftermath of the shooting, LMPD's homicide unit began an investigation into Mesinor's death. Detectives canvassed the neighborhood, knocking on doors and speaking with anyone who might have seen or heard something that could lead to a break in the case. At the time, authorities had not identified any suspects, and no arrests had been made. The police urged anyone with information to come forward as the investigation into the shooting remained ongoing.
