In the early morning hours, the quiet of a west Louisville neighborhood was shattered by violence. Inside a residence on Esquire Alley, 34-year-old Stephan Adams, a Black male, was found suffering from gunshot wounds. The incident, which occurred on May 14, 2024, prompted a swift response from the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Esquire Alley at approximately 1:50 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered Mr.
Adams and immediately began to render first aid. Despite their efforts and the subsequent arrival of emergency medical services, his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Louisville Metro Police Department's Homicide Unit has taken charge of the investigation into the shooting. As of now, the authorities have not publicly identified any suspects in connection with the death of Stephan Adams, and no arrests have been made. The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting.
