In the early morning hours of a Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of Dominic D. Simonton was tragically cut short. On June 13, 2020, police responded to reports of a shooting in the Russell neighborhood. When they arrived at the 600 block of South 26th Street and West Broadway around 4:00 a.m., they found Simonton, a 42-year-old Black male. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
