In the winter of 2018, the life of John Batey, a 29-year-old Black male, was tragically cut short in Louisville, Kentucky. On the evening of December 5th, Batey was fatally shot at 3148 Vermont Avenue. The circumstances surrounding his death remain a painful mystery for his family and the community, as his case is still an open homicide investigation.
