In the early morning hours of August 6, 2024, the life of 33-year-old Ramone Boyd, a Black male, was tragically cut short in the Algonquin neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 3:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers arrived at an apartment in the 1600 block of South 11th Street. Inside, they discovered Boyd suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Despite the immediate response from emergency medical services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office later confirmed the identity of the victim as Ramone Boyd. The investigation into his death was handed over to the LMPD's Homicide Unit and remains an open case. As of now, authorities have not publicly identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
