In the spring of 2017, the life of 33-year-old Damone Omond Jones was cut short in a violent encounter in Louisville, Kentucky. On April 15th, Jones was inside a residence in the Chickasaw neighborhood when he sustained a fatal gunshot wound. Those with him at the time, reportedly not from the Louisville area, transported him to University Hospital instead of calling for emergency medical services.
