In Louisville, Kentucky, a tragic incident unfolded on the afternoon of Wednesday, January 28, 2026, resulting in the death of 14-year-old Dalton Wells Jr. a male. The event occurred at a residence in the 1800 block of Greenwood Avenue in the California neighborhood.
Louisville Metro Police officers were dispatched to the home around 2:30 p.m. following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered the young teen suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was immediately transported to University of Louisville Hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Dalton Wells Jr. succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
