In the early evening of a summer day in Louisville, Kentucky, tragedy struck in the Smoketown neighborhood, forever altering the lives of a local family. On Monday, June 7, 2021, gunfire erupted in the 500 block of East Breckinridge Street, resulting in a double shooting. Seventeen-year-old DaJuan Coward, a male resident of Louisville, was one of the victims, suffering from a gunshot wound.
