On July 15, 2017, 19-year-old Tyson Gibbs was shot and killed in the Shawnee neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky. The incident occurred near the 400 block of South 38th Street, just a short distance from his home. Gibbs, a former Waggener High School football player, was found dead at the scene from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite an investigation by the Louisville Metro Police, no arrests have been made in connection with the homicide.
