In the early hours of a September morning in Louisville, Kentucky, the life of 23-year-old Derrick Bussey Jr. was tragically cut short. Just after midnight on September 5, 2016, police responded to a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Village West Drive. Upon arrival, they found Bussey with a gunshot wound. He was rushed to University Hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
