Abu Saleh Mohammad Mahfuz, a 47-year-old Bangladeshi businessman, was tragically killed on June 14, 2022, in Acworth, Georgia. Originally from Noakhali, Bangladesh, Mahfuz had moved to the United States approximately 12 years prior after winning the Diversity Immigrant Visa Lottery. He lived in Atlanta with his father, Abu Taher, his wife, Mahmuda Begum, and their two children, Faruz Ahmed and Faiza Mahfuz. Mahfuz had established his own business in Georgia after initially working at a shop.
