In the summer of 2022, a community in Acworth, Georgia, was shaken by the violent death of a local business owner. Abu Saleh Mohammad Mahfuz, a 47-year-old man of Bangladeshi descent, was a familiar face to many as the owner of the Kwik E Mart on Acworth Oaks Drive. His life, built after immigrating to the United States, was cut short on the evening of June 14th in a senseless act of violence.
