On October 27, 2015, Waylon Dennington, a 2-year-old white male, tragically died in his home in Acworth, Georgia. The incident occurred when Waylon found his father's semi-automatic handgun resting in a holster on his parents' bed. While his father, Grant Dennington, was in the bathroom, Waylon picked up the gun and accidentally shot himself in the head. The toddler died instantly at the scene.
