Brenda Gail Faison, a 21-year-old Black woman, was murdered in Columbus, Georgia, in early 1978. She was also known by the aliases Gail Jackson and Gail Bogen. Her body was discovered in April 1978, approximately six weeks after she was last seen alive in late February of that year. The investigation into her death revealed that she had been brutally assaulted and killed by William Henry Hance, a soldier stationed at Fort Benning at the time.
