In the early morning hours of February 12, 2026, the life of 28-year-old Lexus Antrom, a Black female, was tragically cut short in her Columbus, Georgia, home. The incident, which unfolded on Gardiner Drive, is being investigated as a homicide stemming from a domestic dispute. Antrom was discovered by Columbus Police officers who were responding to a shooting at the residence around 4:00 a.m. She was found unresponsive with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:50 a.m.
The tragedy was compounded by the fact that her two young sons, ages 7 and 13, were present in the home at the time of the shooting.
The primary suspect in Antrom's death is her husband, 22-year-old Kevawn Davenport. He was also found at the scene with a gunshot wound and was transported to Piedmont Columbus Regional for treatment. While still in the hospital, detectives served Davenport with warrants for murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. Upon his release from the hospital, he will be transferred to the Muscogee County Jail.
Family members remember Lexus Antrom as a loving and caring mother who had dreams of becoming an actress. Her mother, Tunisia Seals, spoke of her daughter's kind spirit and the devastating impact her loss has had on their family, leaving two young boys without their mother. A GoFundMe campaign was created by the family to help with funeral expenses and to transport her body back to her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
