In the broad daylight of a Monday afternoon in Columbus, Georgia, the life of 28-year-old Kiera Williams was tragically cut short. On March 1, 2021, the African American mother was fatally shot while sitting in the passenger seat of a car parked at a Family Dollar on Floyd Road. Alongside her, her friend Jasmine Trice was also shot and killed. In the backseat of the vehicle, Kiera's six-year-old daughter was a witness to the horrific event but was blessedly unharmed.
