Barbara Luke, a 71-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on January 16, 2022, in Columbus, Georgia. Barbara was driving her SUV along Delray Drive in East Columbus when a gunshot penetrated her vehicle's door, striking her in the side. The impact caused her to lose control of the vehicle, which subsequently crashed into a tree. Emergency responders arrived at the scene following reports of gunshots and a car crash.
