In the late morning of August 8, 2020, tragedy struck the Taylor Berry neighborhood in Louisville, Kentucky, when 65-year-old Aaron Baker was fatally shot. The incident occurred near the intersection of Central Avenue and Colorado Avenue, a location not far from the historic Churchill Downs. Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting at approximately 11:45 a.m. and discovered Mr. Baker at the scene with gunshot wounds.
