In the quiet neighborhood of Pleasure Ridge Park in Louisville, Kentucky, a grim discovery was made on April 25, 2011. Inside his residence on Cochise Way, 64-year-old Donald P. Thornhill, a male, was found deceased. The coroner later determined that Thornhill's life had been taken by violent means, the result of what was described as sharp force injuries. A man who had spent his life in Louisville and had worked as a cook, he had been disabled for some years prior to his death.
