On June 25, 2023, a tragic shooting occurred in the Broad Ripple business district of Indianapolis, Indiana, resulting in the deaths of three individuals, including 22-year-old Kaleyia Preer. The incident happened just after 2 a.m. in the 800 block of Broad Ripple Avenue, near Guilford Avenue, where Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers responded to a call of shots fired.
