In the late summer of 2023, the life of 18-year-old Terry Edgar Ross was tragically cut short on the west side of Indianapolis. On August 23, Ross, a male, was fatally shot in an incident that would lead to the arrest of a teenager.
Reports from that day indicate that a 16-year-old male was taken into custody in connection with the shooting of Ross.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested the juvenile suspect, who was later charged as an adult in the Marion County court system.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting involved observations of a person in a ski mask and hoodie checking vehicles in the area. This ultimately led to the violent encounter that resulted in Terry Edgar Ross's death from gun violence. The 16-year-old suspect was subsequently charged with murder for his alleged role in the fatal shooting.
