On November 12, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in Speedway, Indiana, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Caiden Clements. The incident took place at a home in the 5000 block of West 22nd Street, near the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Speedway police were initially called to a nearby location after a report of a shooting, but the exact address was provided by a juvenile who described the vehicles at the scene, leading officers to the correct house.
