Death by Force

On August 28, 2023, 27-year-old Emily Lee-Anna Willis was fatally shot on the near east side of Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. in the 200 block of North Rural Street, near East New York Street. Police responded to a call about a shooting and found Willis lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. She was taken to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead due to her injuries.
