On the night of August 29, 2020, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Kailene Munns-Lawrence, a 21-year-old woman, was sitting in the front seat of her Toyota, focused on doing her makeup, when a gunshot shattered the quiet on Drexel Avenue and ended her life. Police were dispatched to the 3200 block of North Drexel Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. and found her wounded.
