In the early morning hours of January 6, 2024, the life of 27-year-old Britney Long, a mother of four from Indianapolis, was tragically cut short. Responding to a call of a person shot, police found Long in her home with a gunshot wound to the head as she lay in her bed. Her four young children, all under the age of seven, were asleep in an adjacent room at the time of the incident and were physically unharmed.
