In the early evening of a Sunday in Montgomery, Alabama, the life of 13-year-old Corday Byrd was tragically cut short. On October 10, 2021, police responded to a call in the 800 block of North Burbank Drive. There, they found young Corday with a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and violent loss of a child.
