On January 1, 2024, Jasmine Ivy-Dede, a 42-year-old woman from Indianapolis, Indiana, was fatally shot along with Indianapolis firefighter Justin “JB” Boyd II. The incident occurred in the early morning hours when the vehicle they were in, a GMC Sierra, crashed at the intersection of Michigan Road and Grandview Drive. Emergency responders found both Boyd and Ivy-Dede dead at the scene with gunshot wounds.
