On January 1, 2024, the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) responded to a report of a person shot in the 3100 block of Boulevard Place, near North Capitol Avenue and West 30th Street, shortly after 1 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found a van that had been shot up and located an adult male, later identified as 40-year-old Bryan Foley, with a gunshot wound about 20 yards away near the side of a house.
