Death by Force

Christapher Mays, 24, a Black male from Indianapolis, was found shot just after 4 a.m. on Sunday, October 26, 2025, inside a residence in the 3600 block of North Illinois Street, near North Meridian and 38th streets. Responding officers and medics transported him to a local hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified him as the victim later that day.
