In the spring of 2016, a promising young life was tragically cut short on the streets of Indianapolis. Tyren Dion Whitley, an 18-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of March 4th. The incident occurred in the 3200 block of North Gladstone Avenue. Responding to reports of gunfire, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department discovered Whitley lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his back.
