On May 13, 2024, 25-year-old Julio Castillo Bedoya was found deceased in a truck at the Estates at Crystal Bay apartments in Indianapolis. Responding to reports of a shooting around 7 p.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers discovered Bedoya with at least one gunshot wound. The vehicle was still running, and evidence such as bullet holes in the truck door and shell casings on the floor indicated foul play.
