Dewandale D. Crittenden, age 26, was found shot and killed on July 18, 2015, in a vehicle located in the 3700 block of North Hillside Avenue in Indianapolis. The incident took place during a year of heightened violence in the city, with 2015 marking one of the deadliest years on record for Indianapolis. His death was one of many tragic incidents contributing to the alarming increase in homicide rates that year.
