On January 7, 2024, a fatal shooting occurred on the near southeast side of Indianapolis, resulting in the death of 19-year-old Rondre Jackson. The incident took place just before 11 p.m. in the 2700 block of Barrington Avenue, a residential area east of Keystone Avenue and directly north of Stanley Strader Park, near the intersection of South Keystone Avenue and Prospect Street.
