In the autumn of 2022, a burst of violence on an Indianapolis street cut short the life of Christopher Summers. The 40-year-old man was on North Bolton Avenue on the city's east side on the evening of Tuesday, October 25, 2022, when gunfire erupted. When police arrived, they found Summers and another man suffering from gunshot wounds.
