In the evening hours of November 11, 2020, a young man’s life was tragically cut short on a street in Phoenix, Arizona. Kealeo Lewis, a 23-year-old male, was found with a gunshot wound in the area of Indian School Road and 67th Avenue. Phoenix police officers responded to reports of a shooting at approximately 7:15 p.m. and discovered Lewis at the scene.
He was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Investigators believe that prior to the fatal shooting, Kealeo Lewis had been involved in an argument with an unknown individual. The circumstances that led to the dispute and ultimately to the gunfire remain unclear. In the immediate aftermath, law enforcement appealed to the public for any information that might lead to the apprehension of the person or persons responsible for Lewis's death. The Phoenix Police Department and Silent Witness urged anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward.
Born in Phoenix on January 2, 1997, Kealeo was the eldest of seven children and was described as having taken on the role of the 'man of the house.' He was a graduate of Premier High School and had worked at Papa John's and JBS, in addition to attending refrigeration school. He had a passion for music, particularly Rap and R&B. As of now, the case remains unsolved, with no publicly available information regarding any arrests or identified suspects in the homicide of Kealeo Lewis.
