In the early hours of April 13, 2024, a violent altercation in south Phoenix tragically cut short the life of 19-year-old Elijah Sanchez. The young man, identified as Black / African American, was pronounced dead at the scene of a shooting near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Roeser Road.
