Fernando Ruelas, a 26-year-old resident of Phoenix, Arizona, lost his life to gun violence on February 1, 2014. The incident occurred at the apartment complex where he lived with his girlfriend, Ashley Elizabeth Eide.

According to the authorities, Phoenix police responded to a call of shots fired around 4 a.m. on the day of the incident and found Ruelas dead on a stairwell landing of the apartment complex.
