In February 2014, a domestic dispute in a Phoenix, Arizona apartment complex escalated to a fatal conclusion, ending the life of 26-year-old Fernando Ruelas, Jr. The young man was shot on a landing of the complex where he resided with his girlfriend, Ashley Elizabeth Eide.
