In the early evening of March 8, 2021, Brandon Diggs, a 35-year-old male, made a compassionate stop at Eastlake Park in Phoenix, Arizona. He was there to deliver containers of spaghetti he had cooked to a homeless person he knew frequented the area. This act of kindness, a regular part of his character, would tragically be his last. While at the park, near the gazebos on the west side close to 15th Street, Diggs was shot and killed. Phoenix police responded to the scene around 6:30 p.m.
