On a late summer morning in Indianapolis, the city's east side was shattered by an act of violence that claimed the life of 41-year-old Gary A. Reed. On September 7, 2024, officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 100 block of North Linwood Avenue around 10 a.m. following a report of a person shot. There, they discovered a grim scene with two victims.
