In the early morning hours of July 13, 2024, the life of 25-year-old Nakyra La Shawn McGee, a female from Indianapolis, Indiana, was tragically cut short by gun violence. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 3:30 a.m., Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived at the 4100 block of Edgemere Court, located on the city's northeast side.
