On May 31, 2023, 17-year-old Brian Brown from Powder Springs, Georgia, was fatally shot in the Bill Arp area of Douglas County. Deputies responded to a call around 6 p.m. and found Brown, who was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
