On a summer evening in Columbus, Georgia, the life of 38-year-old Johann Gamble, a Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On July 20, 2015, outside his own home at the Pembrook Court apartments, Gamble was fatally shot in an incident witnessed by his two daughters who were inside the residence at the time. The violence erupted following a physical altercation between Gamble and a man identified as Andre Dixon.
