It was there that the life of Terry Coleman, a 32-year-old man, was violently cut short. The incident, which occurred on August 22, 2021, also claimed the lives of two other men, Rumondo Swinney and Darrius Gray, in what police have described as a triple homicide.
Officers were called to the scene on Whitehall Street, less than a mile from the
Atlanta police headquarters, shortly before 1 a.m. Upon their arrival, they discovered the three men, all of whom had been fatally shot. The victims' ages ranged from their late 20s to early 40s. In the year that followed the killings, authorities have publicly sought assistance in identifying the person or persons responsible for this brazen act of violence.
