In the late hours of a Sunday evening in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the life of 19-year-old Michael Paul Maddox II was tragically cut short. On September 17, 2023, Maddox was fatally shot in the vicinity of Kentshire Place. Following the shooting, three individuals transported him to Northside Gwinnett Hospital.
Upon their arrival at the hospital, the three individuals who brought Maddox in left the scene. Medical staff alerted the Gwinnett County police to the situation around 8 p.m. Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Michael Maddox succumbed to his gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Investigators quickly determined that the initial shooting had occurred at Kentshire Place.
The Gwinnett County Police Department launched a homicide investigation into Maddox's death. The three individuals who transported him to the hospital were located and questioned by detectives. Williams faces multiple charges in connection with the death of Michael Maddox, including Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of Certain Felonies. The motive for the shooting remains a subject of ongoing investigation.
