In the quiet suburbs of Lawrenceville, Georgia, a family's worst fears were realized in early March 2023. Sixteen-year-old Jose Daniel Martinez, a male student at Berkmar High School, was reported missing by his family on March 1st when they discovered he had not returned home the previous night. His mother, Jilsai Ramirez, went to wake him for school only to find his room empty. The family's call to 911 set in motion a search that would end in tragedy later that same day.
