On February 14, 2024, at approximately 6:10 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred in the 2300 block of Montpelier Avenue in Macon, Georgia. Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a residence after a call was made to the E-911 Emergency Center reporting a person shot. Upon arrival, they found 49-year-old Ernestine Frye suffering from a single gunshot wound.
Frye was immediately transported to Atrium Health Navicent for treatment, but she was pronounced deceased at the hospital. C
