In the early morning hours of April 10, 2024, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office was called to the 3000 block of Ruark Circle in Macon, Georgia, following a report of an unresponsive male. Upon arrival at 4:23 a.m., deputies discovered the body of 23-year-old Brian Rashad Obama. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene by the deputy coroner.
The investigation into the death of the male victim led authorities to two suspects. On April 22, 2024, the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, apprehended 18-year-old Xalayah Nahri Green and 20-year-old Peair Dennard Harvey. The arrests took place at a residence on Tredway Drive.
Green and Harvey were taken into custody in connection with the murder of Brian Rashad Obama, as well as the death of another individual, Anthonio Dewayne McNeill, which also occurred on April 10, 2024. Following further investigation, both Green and Harvey were transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. They have each been charged with two counts of murder and are being held without bond. The circumstances surrounding the incident are still under investigation.
