In a tragic turn of events stemming from a years-old high school feud, 22-year-old Deonta Jerome Walker was shot and killed on March 28, 2024, in Stone Mountain, Georgia. A Black male, Walker was the victim of a fatal encounter that unfolded on Muirforest Drive, a consequence of a long-simmering dispute with a former school rival.
